Kristen Lindley Sayegh

Kristen Lindley Sayegh was appointed to the UH System Board of Regents in 2009 by Governor Rick Perry and served through May 31, 2010.

Sayegh, a CPA, works in the tax and consulting services department of Whitley Penn LLP, a public accounting firm. Sayegh specializes in income tax compliance and planning. Industry specialties include family office and owned businesses, professional services, and financial services.

She is involved in many engagements which include formal business planning, development of financial strategies regarding income and estate taxation, and family business planning.

Sayegh has a Master and Bachelor degree of Business Administration from the University of Houston-Victoria where she served as President of the Student Senate and was named to the NAIA All-American Softball Team in 2009.

Kristen Lindley Sayegh lives in Houston with her husband, Joseph and they have two children. 

*Sayegh was part of a group of students appointed by the Texas Governor to serve on their respective university system governing boards. These students have the same powers and duties as regents, but do not vote or are considered part of a quorum. The first such appointees served from 2006 to 2007. Prior to this, student regents were elected by their peers.
