Philip Carroll

Phil was born in New Orleans, LA on September 24, 1937, and graduated from Jesuit High School. He received his B. S. degree in Physics from Loyola University and his M. S. degree in Physics from Tulane University.

Phil enjoyed a long career with Shell Oil Company where he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer. He retired from Shell in 1998 and then became the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fluor Corporation in California.

After retiring from Fluor, he was appointed the First Senior U. S. Adviser to the Iraqi Oil Ministry and was awarded the Joint Civilian Service Achievement Award for his service in Iraq.

Phil served on the Board of Regents of The University of Houston, on The Board of Trustees of Tulane University and was an Honorary Life Member of the American Petroleum Institute.

He also gave his time and talents to numerous civic, corporate and philanthropic organizations.
